Our mission is to create vlogumentaries that cultivate a deep connection to the natural world, inspiring education, exploration, and personal growth. Additionally, we recognize and value the unique perspectives and contributions that neurodiversity brings to our work. We believe neurodiversity is key to creating an inclusive and sustainable future for all.

Katherine Hobbs and Josh Torres began working together in 2020 while at WJCT Public Media, North Florida’s NPR station. There, they explored Florida’s politics, culture, and healthcare landscape while producing and directing three award-winning radio programs: First Coast Connect, What’s Health Got to Do with It? and The Florida Roundup.

They are excited to draw on Katherine's background in wildlife conservation and Josh's cinematography experience to produce vlogumentaries that explore the natural world - while not taking themselves too seriously.

Their work in public radio taught them to work effectively under pressure, deliver quality content on a deadline, and tell stories in new and creative ways.

When they're not working, Katherine and Josh love exploring together.

A love affair with the natural world…

“While science provides the data necessary to explain issues and propose solutions, photography symbolizes these issues. Science is the brain, while photography is the heart. We need both to reach people’s hearts and minds in order to move them to action. For Nature, and for us.”
